I am Taylor Lau, founder of Birch 710 Design, a woman-owned small business dedicated to the art of furniture refinishing and vintage curating in the heart of San Francisco.

I grew up helping my dad build anything and everything, started refinishing furniture in college with my friends, and then years later decided to dive deeper into learning the techniques and skills needed to start a refinishing business. I started this business in my one bedroom apartment and then the name Birch 710 Design was born. In my 710 square foot apartment overlooking Birch Street, I began my creative journey refinishing and curating vintage.

I am focused on enhancing the beauty of furniture while promoting sustainability. My commitment to sustainability means that I use resources that already exist, and strive to use products and techniques that minimize our environmental impact.
